How much does 3D printing cost in Sri Lanka?
3D printing is priced by material used, machine time and any finishing work. These are our real 2026 price ranges — most orders land inside them, and your quote pins the exact figure:
| What you're printing | Examples | Process | Typical price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Keychains & small parts | Keychains, clips, logos, cable tidies | FDM | LKR 350 – 1,000 |
| Medium prints | Phone stands, enclosures, planters, décor | FDM | LKR 800 – 3,000 |
| Large functional parts | Brackets, housings, cosplay pieces | FDM | LKR 2,000 – 8,000 |
| Chibi & mini figures | Small anime figures, miniatures (5–8 cm) | Resin | LKR 1,500 – 3,000 |
| Character figurines | Full figures, portrait pieces (10–15 cm) | Resin | LKR 4,000 – 10,000+ |
| Architectural & engineering models | Scale models, prototypes, jigs | FDM / Resin | Quoted per project |
Full details for each process are on the service pages: FDM printing, resin / SLA printing, custom figurines, rapid prototyping, engineering parts and architectural models.
What affects the price?
Size & weight
Material used and machine hours are the biggest cost drivers — a part twice as large costs well more than twice as much to print.
Material
PLA is the most economical. PETG, ABS, TPU, ASA and resin cost more — we recommend the cheapest material that does the job.
Infill & strength
Display pieces print light (15–25% infill) and cheap. Load-bearing parts need more walls and infill, which adds material.
Supports & finishing
Overhanging geometry needs support material; sanding, priming and painting add labour you only pay for if you want it.
Quantity
Repeat parts cost less per piece — setup is done once. Ask about bulk pricing for 5+ of the same part.
Pricing questions, answered
How much does 3D printing cost in Sri Lanka?
Small prints like keychains start around LKR 350. Medium decorative or functional parts run LKR 800–3,000, large functional parts LKR 2,000–8,000, and detailed resin figurines LKR 1,500–10,000+ depending on size and finishing. Every quote is free and itemised.
Is there a minimum order value?
No minimum — we happily print a single LKR 350 keychain. Bulk orders of the same part get better per-piece pricing.
How do I get an exact price?
Send your STL, OBJ, STEP or 3MF file on WhatsApp (+94 70 494 9070) or through our quote form. You'll get a free itemised quote within 24 hours, usually much faster. No file? Send photos or a description and we'll quote modelling too.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer or cash on delivery — whichever you prefer. Payment is confirmed before printing starts.
Does the price include delivery?
Courier delivery is charged at cost and shown separately on your quote. We ship island-wide, typically 1–3 working days after printing, and same-day delivery in Colombo is available on request. Studio pickup in Kolonnawa is free.
